Supporters, how long are we going to tolerate the cycle of young men and women failing or dropping out of school because of the circumstances they were born into. How long are we going to allow families to continue to fail and we not intervene. If you don’t think it affects every American then please continue to read.
In the most recent issue of the Huff Post Business Tom Zeller Jr. Describes the issues facing the poor. Many of these people are living from one meal to the other. Poverty is the number one reason many young men and women gravitate to the drug trade. It does something to the human esteem when you have to beg for food on a daily basis or most of all can’t feed your family.
It is a fixable problem that we can start to address today. If a young man or woman was not brought up with social, economical, financial, and educational skills he or she will continues to function with what they know which is not much.
We pour so much money into other countries and we bring in so much skill labor from other countries but we neglect to build up those who want to do better in this country and all they need is a little guidance. I applaud Ariana Huffington for her fight for the middle class. I Applaud the Huffington Post for keeping the issues concerning the poor on the forefront.
In the best of times and in the worst of times America has maintained a high level of poverty according to Zellers article. I myself have lived in communities plagued with poverty and the common denominator affecting people in poverty is education.
Most people think that it takes giving hundreds of dollars to support charities that make a difference. It’s as simple as a $1, $2, $5 or $10 donation. Let’s continue to applaud those people like Tom Zeller Jr. and Ariana Huffington who are doing good work and join them America in doing your part also
